Spotcycle heads to Canada’s west coast and adds Vancouver’s Mobi bike share system

Our Spotcycle team recently added Vancouver’s Mobi public bike share system to the Spotcycle application.

The long-awaited Mobi system was launched earlier this year in July with a fleet of 250 bikes spread out over 23 stations around downtown Vancouver. The system has since grown to over 46 stations and 500 bikes and continues to grow.

Mobi is operated by CycleHop Canada and owned by the city of Vancouver. Helmets are provided for bike share users to comply with British Columbia’s mandatory helmet laws.

Canada’s most densely populated city, Vancouver is aiming to become the greenest city in the world by 2020 including a green transportation plan to favour walking, bicycles and public transit over cars.

As it is a transparent update, there is no need to download anything to the application. To use the Vancouver bike share system in Spotcycle, access the main menu and the select Vancouver Mobi as your system of choice.

Happy riding!
