Spotcycle heads to Canada’s west coast and adds Vancouver’s Mobi bike share system

Our Spotcycle team recently added Vancouver’s Mobi public bike share system to the Spotcycle application. The long-awaited Mobi system was launched earlier this year in July with a fleet of 250 bikes spread out over 23 stations around downtown Vancouver. The system has since grown to over 46 stations and 500 bikes and continues to grow. Mobi is operated by CycleHop Canada and owned by the city of Vancouver. Helmets are provided for bike share users to comply with British Columbia’s mandatory helmet laws. Spotcycle adds four YouBike systems in Taiwan

In anticipation for Velo-City Global 2016 this weekend, we’ve added YouBike's four cities in Taiwan to the application: Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung and Changhua. The system was first launched in 2009 with 11 stations and 500 bikes in the Xinyi district of Taipei City. First expanding into New Taipei in 2013, YouBike added service in Taichung and Changhua (Taichung-Changhua metropolitan area) in 2014. It has since grown to a fleet over 6000 bikes distributed over 220 stations today, with more to come. Abu Dhabi’s ADCB Bikeshare now supported in Spotcycle

We’ve added Abu Dhabi’s ADCB Bikeshare to the list of bike share schemes supported by Spotcycle. ADCB Bikeshare is Abu Dhabi’s first bike share system and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for short- and long-term rentals. Currently in operation on Yas Island and Al Raha Beach, cyclists can get around on any of the bikes docked among the 11 bike stations in the area. Cyclists can hop on a bike at the Ferrari theme park to head to Yas Beach or even stop-and-go along Al Raha Beach front at any of the stations along that stretch. We made our way to the American west coast and just added DecoBike San Diego to the Spotcycle app. The fleet of 1700 bikes spread out over 180 bike stations is available 24/7 to residents and visitors of the San Diego core. In anticipation of Pronto Cycle Share’s launch this upcoming Monday, we’ve added Seattle’s new bike share to Spotcycle today. We’ve added 25 bike share schemes from around the world to the Spotcycle app that includes Villo! in Brussels, Paris' Vélib, Seville’s SEVici, and Stockholm’s Stockholm City Bike. Spotcycle is still tops (in our humble opinion!) for being the most comprehensive, free – and ad-free – bike share app around. Spotcycle heads to San Francisco Bay Area with support for Bay Area Bike Share

San Francisco Bay Area’s new bike share scheme, Bay Area Bike Share is the latest we’ve added to the Spotcycle application. Bike share cyclists can get around using Bay Area Bike Share in all the service areas including San Francisco, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and San Jose. Cyclists can access the bikes 24/7 and can return bikes at any bike station in any of the service areas within the city.
