Spotcycle download available for iOS (4.1.3) that addresses changes to system feeds

We’ve just released a minor patch to Spotcycle for iOS  (version 4.1.3) that addresses issues when the data feed for a bike share system changes. Spotcycle will now detect when a city’s bike share feed changes when you load the application and automatically update the feed. This means that any changes to the data feed will be transparent to you the next time you launch Spotcycle. Thank you to all our users who have been sending us feedback! We really appreciate your help in making our app better!

Spotcycle suspends support for B-Cycle bike share schemes for the time being

A little while back, we mentioned that we were trying to get our B-Cycle data feed available again to Spotcycle users. We have been unable to reach an agreement with B-Cycle and unfortunately needed to suspend support for B-Cycle bike share schemes for the time being. We felt that B-Cycle were moving in a direction we did not feel was in the spirit of benefiting all parties involved. As an unfortunate consequence, B-Cycle Spotcycle users are the ones caught in the middle. Rather than continuing to provide stale data to our B-Cycle supporters, we felt it best to suspend support for these schemes until arrangements can be made with the service ...

Patch update for Spotcycle on iOS resolves crashing issues with upgrading to 4.0. and other bugs

Thanks to our user feedback, we were able to resolve a number of issues with a patch update for Spotcycle on iOS (ver. 4.0.1) that is now available on the iTunes app store. This includes issues with a small number of upgrades in certain cases that crashed on launch after updating to version 4.0. In those cases, the crash was resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the application, which inadvertently causes Favorites groups to be lost. Unfortunately, we are unable to retrieve them and apologize for that issue. Based on your input, we’ve also resolved a few bug fixes and updated the station data refresh function so that it refreshes when the ...
