Spotcycle heads to Canada’s west coast and adds Vancouver’s Mobi bike share system

Our Spotcycle team recently added Vancouver’s Mobi public bike share system to the Spotcycle application. The long-awaited Mobi system was launched earlier this year in July with a fleet of 250 bikes spread out over 23 stations around downtown Vancouver. The system has since grown to over 46 stations and 500 bikes and continues to grow. Mobi is operated by CycleHop Canada and owned by the city of Vancouver. Spotcycle download available for iOS (4.1.3) that addresses changes to system feeds

We’ve just released a minor patch to Spotcycle for iOS  (version 4.1.3) that addresses issues when the data feed for a bike share system changes. Spotcycle will now detect when a city’s bike share feed changes when you load the application and automatically update the feed. This means that any changes to the data feed will be transparent to you the next time you launch Spotcycle. Thank you to all our users who have been sending us feedback! Tiny bug fix to Spotcycle for iOS released (4.1.2)

Our team just pushed a minor bug fix to Spotcycle for iOS where the last refresh timestamp sometimes was not appearing to update even though the station data was correct. Spotcycle suspends support for B-Cycle bike share schemes for the time being

A little while back, we mentioned that we were trying to get our B-Cycle data feed available again to Spotcycle users. We have been unable to reach an agreement with B-Cycle and unfortunately needed to suspend support for B-Cycle bike share schemes for the time being. We felt that B-Cycle were moving in a direction we did not feel was in the spirit of benefiting all parties involved.
