Get around in downtown Mexico City by bike with the help of Spotcycle

Spotcycle now helps you get around historic Mexico City by bike with our newly added support for the city’s Ecobici bike share system.

Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and one of North America’s oldest and largest metropolises, with 16 boroughs and 8.8 million inhabitants (21 million in the urban agglomeration). To help alleviate urban pollution and congestion from over 5 million vehicles running through the city daily, the city launched Ecobici in 2010 with 85 bike stations and 1000 bikes with great success.

Today, the system boasts 260 active bike stations and 4000 bikes spanning a network over 22 square kilometers wide (8.5 square miles) mostly in the city’s downtown area.

The city is planning to expand its 60 kilometers (37 miles) of existing bike paths as well as the Ecobici system. Spotcycle can now lend a hand to the ever-growing number of cyclists navigating the bustling streets of Mexico City!
